More than just a Job
As a Pool Service Manager:
- You’ll help create backyard memories for local families and commercial partners through delivering excellence in customer service to our clients and training your service team.
- You’ll use your technical acumen and communication skills to grow your service team.
- You’ll also think on your feet to resolve any challenges you may encounter and build strong relationships within our community.
Pool Service Manager Responsibilities
- May hire and train new staff or assist management with this process.
- Coordinates and oversees the day-to-day workflow of staff in the service department.
- As required, conduct or assist with performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Assists with employment actions, including discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Perform repair work as needed
- Monitors departmental performance, identifying opportunities to increase productivity and efficiency.
- Manages daily aspects of the service department and its team to ensure projects are completed and client needs are met.
- Conducts regular staff meetings to ensure that goals and objectives are clearly communicated with the retail department; provides guidance and leadership to enable the team to meet these goals and objectives.
- Collaborates with other managers to plan, direct, and coordinate programs and projects.
- Drafts, submits, and presents various performance and management reports.
- Manages inventory, approving or facilitating purchases as needed; verifies costs and receipts.
What You’ll Need
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred
- Three years of related work experience is preferred
- Previous management experience
- Demonstrated ability to grow service route and build repeat business
- Have demonstrated success leading service departments with integrity, including profit and loss, safety, staffing, disciplinary actions, training, developing leaders, conducting performance appraisals, and meeting deadlines.
- Solution-focused decisiveness
- Able to lift 60 pounds between 15 inches and 70 inches above the ground. Lifting heavier items is required occasionally.
