Job Summary:
The warehouse associate will assist the warehouse manager in deliveries and pickups from stores and vendors. Also the warehouse associate will assist in day to day operations of maintaining warehouse and yard functions. A Warehouse Worker, or Warehouse Associate, is responsible for carrying out the logistics of receiving, processing, storing and sending inventory according to purchase orders and shipping schedules. Their duties include loading orders onto trucks and shipping containers, organizing incoming stock and outgoing stock.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Delivers merchandise to warehouse, stores, vendors, or other inventory locations.
- Retrieves merchandise from warehouse, stores, vendors, or other inventory locations.
- Assists in customer deliveries of merchandise, hot tub/spas, or other inventory locations.
- Assist in maintaining warehouse products, organizing, and other warehouse duties.
- Maintain a clean warehouse environment and adhering to OSHA policies & procedures.
- Participate in stock management activities
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Attend all training sessions and team meetings.
- Receiving and documenting merchandise for delivery or return.
- Keeping an inventory of all merchandise entering or exiting the warehouse.
- Identifying any missing, lost or damaged materials and immediately notify the supervisor.
- Ensuring that all the merchandise is safely and securely packed and labeled for shipping.
- Managing all merchandise with appropriate care.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent active listening skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Prior experience working in a warehouse
- Knowledge of operating a forklift
- Ability to work on feet for 8 hours and carry loads up to 80 pounds
- Ability to work independently and safely
- Valid Drivers License
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the warehouse
Ability to regularly bend at the waist, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop
Ability to regularly push, pull and lift more than 80 pounds
Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, pallet jack and other assigned supplies
